Harrow is an eclectic borough to say the least. It contains a real melonge of different cultures, ethnicities and demographics, with Harrow School sitting as an upper class island surrounded by 1930's suburban housing. However one thing you can say about the borough is that it offers a huge number of parks, open spaces and sports grounds and what we're most interested here are the best 11 a side football pitches in Harrow.

Byron Recreation Ground is located yards away from Harrow and Wealdstone station and the headquarters of Harrow Council. It has a number of sports facilities in and around with both Harrow Leisure Centre and Harrow Gynmastics Club flanking the park. The park itself offers a children's playground, tennis courts and large tree-lined grass area with 11 a side football pitches for hire.

5. Hatch End Recreation Ground

Hatch End Recreation Ground offers a vast playing fields area with the car park situated next to Hatch End Swimming Pool run by Everyone Active. The playing fields make a very pleasant place for a stroll or walk whether you are playing sport or not, but really does off plenty of 11 a side football pitches. It is one of the largest sports grounds in Harrow and offers both male and female changing rooms as well as car park for plenty of cars. The nearest station is Hatch End which is roughly 10 minutes walk away.

Saddlers Mead Recreation Ground is within Pinner in the North West of Harrow and has general grass space which is used for 11 a side football during the winter and makes way for cricket during the summer months. It is home to both a cricket club and a football club and has a good quality playing surface and an accompanying pavilion. It is best accessed from Clonard Way.

Harrow Weald Recreation Ground offers a broad range of sports facilities including an outdoor gym, bowling green, tennis courts, basketball court and general open space. There are also a handful of adult and junior football pitches for hire too with good quality grass surfaces. There is a car park approximately five minutes walk from the football pitches and changing rooms next to the bowling green slap, bang in the centre of the park.
