Best Parks For Tennis Near Wembley

Wembley is best known as being the home of football, having hosted many a dour nil-nil England draw, with fans usually passing in and out of consciousness in the stands. What it is not so well known for is tennis. That’s usually the jobs of leafy Wimbledon and the prestigious Queen’s Club, which both require you to have double-barrel surnames to join and/or have someone in your family called Rupert or Octavia.

However there are some fantastic places to play tennis in Wembley and the surrounding areas. Furthermore there are no less than eight parks and 44 tennis courts with online booking. Below are the picks of the bunch when looking for tennis courts in North West London.

Gladstone Park is the jewel in the crown for tennis in Brent parks, with no less than nine hard courts for hire and four mini courts. The park is one of the largest in Brent with undulating terrain, netball courts and a bowling green. The tennis courts are located towards the main café and down the hill from the pond and bowling green. There are local tennis leagues available as well as coaching sessions for adults and juniors. Furthermore there is a delightful café not too far away from the tennis courts with a quaint garden and a perfect cup of fresh coffee.
