The London Borough of Brent is located in North West London and hugely multi-cultural, with a highly diverse population with no stand out ethnicity dominating the borough. It is easily most famous for being the home of Wembley Stadium, where spectators can often can sent into a boredom induced coma whilst watching the English national football team. However more excitingly there is Wembley Arena and a large factory outlet flanking Wembey Stadium with enviable eateries and shopping. It even has a Nandos.
Aside from the famous Wembley football stadium, Brent has many parks and open spaces with a huge variety of sports facilities and activities to choose from. There are over 44 park tennis courts in Brent and a handful of tennis clubs too. Gladstone Park is probably the best park in Brent for sports, with nine tennis courts, 4 mini-tennis courts, netball courts, multi-use games areas and general space for recreation. Chelmsford Square is also a hidden gym with four tennis courts set amongst the residential area with pristine services.
There are also a handful of leisure centres in Brent, the most notable is the Vale Farm Sports Centre with an 11 a side 3G football pitch, swimming pool, fully equipped gym, cricket pitch and tennis courts too. Charteris Sports Centre also a sports hall and gym, with a very extensive activity programme with basketball, zumba, 5 a side football, badminton and a lot more. Finally there are lots of schools in Brent with sports facilities such as Ark Academy Wembley, Preston Manor, JFS and the Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls. These all rent out their facilities for community lettings and have sports halls, 3G football pitches and dance studios too.
